A woman suspected of assaulting her ex-husband with a pool ball has turned herself in. Girdie Kazee, 39, of Paintsville, allegedly assaulted her ex-husband, Jasper Maynard, the afternoon of Saturday, May 12, at his residence in Inez. The two reportedly were in an argument over custody of a pet Chihuahua named Baby when Kazee attacked him with a pool ball inside a sock. On Tuesday, May 15, 2018, Kazee turned herself in to authorities, and had the dog with her at the time of arrest. She was charged with assault and lodged in the Big Sandy Regional Detention Center.
