On Friday, May 18, 2018, around 4:30pm, Kentucky State Police Detectives arrested Kyle Childress, 28, of Barbourville, after a two week investigation. Detective Jessie Armstrong began the investigation after two photographs surfaced on Facebook that seemed to suggest violence towards police. It was determined through an investigation that Childress was the source of the two photographs that surfaced on a fake Facebook account. Childress was charged with disorderly conduct and lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
