A Wise County man has been arrested on a charge of parental abduction. The Wise County Sheriff’s Office received a call of the reported abduction around 11:30pm on Monday, May 21, 2018 from Orr Street in Big Stone Gap. David Eugene Brewster, age 36, of Big Stone Gap, was charged with parental kidnapping and use of a firearm in the commission of a felony. Brewster was arrested in Franklin County, Georgia on May 21, 2018. The child who was abducted was taken into custody by the Division of Child Services in Franklin County Georgia. Brewster is awaiting extradition back to Virginia to face charges.
