The Laurel County Sheriff’s Office made a DUI arrest off US 25 on Tuesday, May 29, 2018. The arrest occurred in a business parking lot around 8:45am after the deputies responded to a complaint of a male subject slumped over the steering wheel in a white-colored Chevrolet Malibu. Upon arrival at the scene, deputies conducted an investigation and determined the driver, identified as 40-year-old Ashley Ison of Hazard, was under the influence. He was charged with DUI, failure to maintain insurance, prescription drug not in proper container, and several other violations. He was lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
