Kentucky Celebrates 226 Years of Statehood

The state of Kentucky is 226 years old as of Friday, June 1, 2018. The Commonwealth was granted statehood on June 1, 1792. It is the 15th state to join the Union. Statehood Day is observed on June 1 annually in the states of Kentucky and Tennessee, celebrating the anniversary of the ratification of the Constitution in both states.
