Bell County Deputies made a drug arrest following a routine patrol on Saturday, June 9, 2018. Around 8:44pm, Deputy Chris Barnes was patrolling the Simms Fork area of the Arjay community when he was driving behind a white 2000 Chevrolet four door vehicle. The deputy advised he observed the vehicle swerving and initiated a traffic stop at Gambrel’s Food Market. Contact was made with the driver, identified as 34-year-old Rebecca Partin of Pineville, who appeared nervous. When asked if she had anything illegal, she replied no. Based on her behavior, Deputy Barnes contacted K-9 Deputy James Taulbee for assistance. While conducting a search of the vehicle, k-9 Giro immediately alerted on the vehicle and a black carrying case containing suspected methamphetamine was located. Rebecca Partin was charged with possession of a controlled substance and paraphernalia and operating on a suspended or revoked license. She was lodged in the Bell County Detention Center.
