Knoxville Police Arrest Federal Fugitive

The Knoxville Police Department arrested a federal fugitive on Tuesday, June 12, 2018. The arrest occurred around 10:03pm. KPD Officers David Chandler and Ethan Grantham were conducting walking patrols in Western Heights when they observed a male leaving apartment #205. The residents of the apartment were under eviction due to multiple incidents. The male, identified as 39-year-old Jeremy Gyurnek, was found to be wanted by the US Marshalls on two federal warrants. When taken into custody, the subject was found to be in possession of drug paraphernalia. He was lodged in the Roger D. Wilson Detention Facility.
