On Friday, June 15, 2018, around 7:37pm, the Kentucky State Police Post 8 in Morehead responded to a report of an ATV collision on Briary Road in Lewis County. Upon arrival, it was determined Brian Cochran, age 51 of Quincy, Kentucky had been operating an ATV on the roadway, when the ATV overturned and ejected Mr. Cochran. He was not wearing a helmet and was pronounced dead on scene by the Lewis County Coroner’s Office. The collision remains under investigation by Trooper Blake Wagner. He was assisted at the scene by the Lewis County Coroner’s Office and the Lewis County Sheriff’s Department.
