Two Arrested for Vehicular Theft in Kanawha County

Kanawha County Sheriff’s Deputies were dispatched to a Speedway Convenience Store in Sissonville, West Virginia around 3:30am for a stolen WV DOT Courtesy Patrol truck. The Ford F150 was being tracked using a GPS system. Deputies were dispatched on Copen Branch Road off of Silas-Kanawha Two Mile Road in the Eden’s Fork Area. Deputies setup stop-sticks. While attempting to make a traffic stop, a second stolen vehicle was observed. As drivers attempted to speed away, the vehicles were disabled by the stop-sticks. A foot pursuit was engaged with the drivers of both vehicles and apprehension K9 D’Jambo was deployed. Deputies arrested 21-year-old Steven Clay and 27-year-old James Bostic, both of Charleston. They charged with transferring or receiving a stolen vehicle and fleeing with reckless indifference. Additional charges may be filed at a later date.
