On Sunday, June 17, 2018, the Kentucky State Police in Morehead responded to an injury motor vehicle collision at the 137 mile marker of interstate 64 West in Rowan County. The collision involved a commercial vehicle operated by Tremayne Aldrin, age 30, of Colorado Springs, Colorado and a motor vehicle operated by 20-year-old Trevor Potter of West Liberty, Kentucky. The collision blocked both lanes on Interstate 64 West near the 137 exit in Morehead, causing a road closure for several hours while crews cleaned up the wreckage. The occupants sustained only minor injuries in the collision and were treated at St. Claire Medical Center in Morehead. The collision remains under investigation by Trooper Michael Butler.
