The City of Louisa and RISEabove will host its third-annual Hoops for Hope Basketball Tournament at LockView Park on June 22-24, 2018. The five-on-five tournament will feature a men’s and women’s division. A $3,000 cash prize will be awarded to the men’s championship team. A cash prize will also be awarded to the women’s championship team based on the number of teams in the tournament. RISEabove Board Chair Matt Brown said the event is more than a basketball tournament, but a community event aimed at bringing people together. The tournament will help raise money for renovations to the LockView Park. Former University of Kentucky and NBA star Rex Chapman will speak to the public on Championship Sunday on June 24 at 1:30pmn.
