With the 4^th of July holiday approaching, the City of Louisa now has a fireworks ordinance. Per the ordinance, fireworks may be used on July 3^rd and 4^th between 10am until midnight; any other displays or uses must file for a permit through the city clerk’s office and be approved by the fire chief and mayor. Applications must be submitted 15 days prior to the display or use of the fireworks. Violations of Ordinance #17-08 “Regulation of Fireworks in the City of Louisa” shall be fined $500.
