On Friday, June 22, 2018, around 4pm, Knox County Deputy Claude Hudson was dispatched to a complaint that 46-year-old David Sheldon was threatening to kill his brother and 72-year-old mother with a knife at a residence on Penny Lane in Flat Lick. Upon arrival, the deputy learned Sheldon had left the scene to his residence across the road and stolen his mother’s chainsaw. While at the residence, Deputy Hudson recovered the chainsaw and observed Shelton had been stealing electricity. He was arrested and lodged in the Knox County Detention Center.
