Kanawha County Sheriff’s K9 Unit Assists with Search for Dementia Patient

The Kanawha County Sheriff’s Office K9 unit assisted with finding a dementia patient on Sunday, July 1, 2018. The K9, bloodhound Loosie, and her handler, Cpl. C.E. O’Neal, assisted the South Charleston Police Department with located the patient who had wandered away from her home. Loosie tracked from the Little General Store in the 5700 block of MacCorkle Avenue to Smileys Motel, where she twice indicated the trail ended. The patient was found in Poca, West Virginia.
