The Kentucky State Police, Richmond Post were called to the scene of a reported shooting around 7pm on Thursday, June 28, 2018. The shooting occurred outside of a residence on Spencer Fork Road in Lee County. The initial investigation indicates two brothers had a disagreement, that led to one of them retrieving a firearm and fatally shooting the other brother. The victim, 26-year-old Forest Lee of Beattyville was pronounced deceased at the scene by the Lee County Coroner. The alleged shooter left the scene on an ATV, which was later recovered by law enforcement after it was found abandoned. As a result of the ongoing investigation, Anthony Lee, 20, of Beattyville, was arrested on Friday, June 29, 2018 and lodged in Three Forks Regional Jail. Lee has been charged with murder, arson, tampering with physical evidence, fleeing or evading police, and two counts of wanton endangerment. The investigation is ongoing.
