On Monday, July 2, 2018, Floyd County Superintendent Danny Adkins announced that Nikki Gearheart has been selected as an assistant principal at Duff-Allen Central Elementary. Gearheart has been an elementary teacher in Floyd County Schools for nineteen years, serving the last three at Duff-Allen Central Elementary. She said she is excited to serve the students, staff, and families at Duff-Allen Central Elementary in the new role. Superintendent Adkins said he and the board team look forward to working with Gearheart in this new role and being part of the new opportunities she will bring for students.
