The Laurel County Sheriff’s Office and the Kentucky State Police arrested five individuals the night of Sunday, July 1, 2018. The arrests occurred around 10:42pm at a motel and surrounding area off KY 770 12 miles south of London after information was developed on the location a reported stolen vehicle. The car, a 2003 Pontiac, was reportedly seen by the owner and followed to the motel, where it was blocked in until deputies arrived on the scene. When deputies arrived at the scene, they located the stolen vehicle along with individuals in the parking lot and in a motel room where the vehicle was parked. Additional subjects fled the scene across the street and toward a subdivision nearby. The Laurel County Sheriff’s Office, with assistance from Kentucky State Police, arrested 29-year-old Brittany Grubb and 26-year-old Barbara Wilder, charging both with auto theft; 39-year-old Ansel Cornelius and 33-year-old Andrew Rose charging both with receiving stolen property; and Scotty Hensley, 36, chagrining him with receiving stolen property and trafficking methamphetamine. All five individuals were lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
