Around 5:30pm on Monday, July 2, 2018, Kentucky State Police Post 10 Harlan received a call that a male individual had been found deceased in a small creek located off of Ky 3439 in the Bimble community of Knox County. Troopers and Detectives from Post 10 responded to the scene. Preliminary investigation indicates a family member located the body of 48-year-old Steven Vance Mills, of Bimble, in the creek and contacted authorities. Mills was located approximately 40 yards from his residence. Evidence and information at the scene is currently being collected. The cause of death is not known at this time. The case is currently being handled as a death investigation.
