Kentucky Treasurer Allison Ball Becomes First Constitutional Officer to Give Birth While in Office in State’s History

The Office of the Kentucky State Treasurer Allison Ball announced on Tuesday, July 3, 2018, that she gave birth to her son, Levi Adrian Swan. Treasurer Ball is the first Kentucky Constitutional Officer in history to give birth while in office. The child’s middle name, Adrian, is after Treasurer Ball’s great-uncle, Adrian Lafferty, a Korean War veteran and businessman from Floyd County. Elected in 2015, Treasurer Ball is currently the nation’s younger female statewide elected official.
