Bell County Sheriff’s Office Reporting Credit Card Scam

The Bell County Sheriff’s Office is reporting they have received several calls of a credit card scam on Tuesday, July 10, 2018. The caller threatens legal action against the victim if the supposed balance on a card isn’t paid. These calls are specifically set up to take advantage of people. Citizens are reminded to not give any confidential information over the phone, even if the called sounds convincing and has partial identifying information on you.
