The Laurel County Sheriff’s Office made an arrest at apartments off American Greeting Card road on Friday, July 6, 2018, around 9:27pm. Deputy Keith Dinsmore responded to the scene to investigate a domestic violence complaint. Investigation determined that a subject, identified as 21-year-old Brittany Cunningham, allegedly hit her boyfriend above the eye, leaving redness and a swollen area. In addition, the subject was reportedly belligerent and emitting a strong odor of alcohol. Cunningham was charged with assault, disorderly conduct, and alcohol intoxication. She was lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
