Secretary of State Grimes Issues Statement Following Trumps Comments on Russian Interference in Election

Following a press conference that occurred on Monday, July 16, 2018, between President of the United States Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin, where President Trump said there was a strong denial of Russian interference in the 2016 election, Kentucky Secretary of State Alison Lundergan Grimes issued a statement on election security. Grimes said Kentuckians should rest assured is the security of our elections is her utmost priority. She added that the nation’s bipartisan Secretaries of State are steadfastly dedicated to the task of protecting American democracy.
