An escaped inmate has been located. Mark Crouch, 32, was found in the Wayne County West Virginia. Crouch had escaped custody of Martin County Deputy Jailer Larry Maynard on Monday, July 9, 2018, while being transported to the Big Sandy Regional Detention Center in Johnson County. The suspect assaulted the jailer and stole his vehicle. The vehicle was recovered in Lawrence County on Monday, July 16, 2018. With assistance from several law enforcement agencies, including the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office and US Marshalls Service, Crouch was apprehended and lodged in the Big Sandy Regional Detention Center on Tuesday, July 17, 2018.
