On Thursday, July 19, 2018, a graduation ceremony was held for the SilverLiner cohort at the Big Sandy Community and Technical College Mayo Campus. SilverLiner is a trailer tanker manufacturer based in Pike County and started by Floyd County native Chris Tomlinson. Trish Adams, Industry Liaison with EKCEP, spoke on their role in assisting SilverLiner. With partnerships from EKCEP and BSCTC, a fast track training program was put together to create the workforce of welders needed. Assessments will be held for additional students for the second cohort on July 30 and 31, 2018.
