The Floyd County Public Library will be hosting the initial meeting of the Friends of Prestonsburg on Monday, August 6, 2018. The library offers several services, crafts for children, tech exploration and motivational programs, and computer, resume and jobs help, as well as job fairs and online educational classes for adults. The library is exploring the possibilities of Free Notary Services, and Passport Services. Additionally, they are actively pursuing an entrepreneurship group and hosting the Friends of Prestonsburg group for planning conversations about collaboration to create and sustain the community.
