The Kentucky State Police are investigating a death in Bath County. On Friday, July 20, 2018, around 6:47pm, KSP Post 8 Morehead received a complaint of a possible shooting incident in Salt Lick. Gavin Troy Flener, 43, of Owningsville, was found deceased from an apparent stab wound outside a residence. It was determined that Flener and Tony Lewis, 41, of Sandy Hook, were involved in a physical altercation, which lead to the fatal knife wound of Flener. He was pronounced deceased by Bath County Coroner Robbie Powell. No charges have been filed at this time. The incident remains under investigation.
