A shooting was reported on Sandy Lane in Eskdale, West Virginia around 8pm on Sunday, July 22, 2018. A man identified as 32-year-old Mark Auber II called 911 to report shooting his brother Michael. The two were allegedly arguing outside a house when Mark said he was acting in self-defense and shot Michael twice, then kicked him as he lay on the ground. The victim was taken to an area hospital for treatment of gunshot wounds to his leg and left arm. No update is available on his condition at this time but the injuries are believed to be non-life-threatening. Mark Auber II was arrested and charged with malicious wounding and domestic battery.
