Kentucky State Police Post 9 Pikeville are investigating a fatal collision that occurred around 10am on US 119 in the Belfry community. Investigation at the scene determined a pedestrian, identified as Robin Gail Porter, was walking beside the roadway when a vehicle traveling southbound on US 119 left the roadway, striking her, then a utility pole and embankment. Porter was pronounced dead at the scene by the Pike County Coroner’s Office at the scene. Alcohol is not thought to be a factor in the crash and no charges have been filed at this time. The accident remains under investigation.
