Man Arrested for DUI after Found Passed Out in Vehicle in Knox County Roadway

On Tuesday, July 24, 2018, around 11:50pm, Knox County Deputy Andrew Lawson received a report of a vehicle stopped in the roadway at the intersection of US 25E and HWY 233 in Gray. Upon arrival, Deputy Lawson noticed a green Toyota still stopped at the intersection. The driver was observed to be passed out behind the wheel with the engine running and the transmission in drive. After turning off the vehicle, Deputy Lawson woke up the driver, identified as 38-year-old Arthur Shepherd of London, arresting him on charges of DUI, no operator’s license, and other traffic violations. Additionally, he was wanted on three Laurel County Bench Warrants. Shepherd was lodged in the Knox County Detention Center.
