On Tuesday, July 24, 2018, around 10:04pm, the Scioto County 911 Center received a call from a clerk at Family Dollar located at 22950 St RT 73 in West Portsmouth stating they had been robbed. The Scioto County Sheriff’s department investigated the incident. Evidence was collected at the scene that lead personnel to identify two suspects. Around 1pm Wednesday, July 25, 2018, detectives located the suspect’s truck parked on the side of the road near the 1600 block of 7^th street in Portsmouth. Interviews with residents led detectives to a residence at 1622 7^th street where they located 47-year-old Johnny Howard and 32-year-old Kayla Johnson. Both were charged with robbery and lodged in the Scioto County Jail.
