Driver Identified in Fatal Pike County Crash

The driver of a vehicle involved in a fatal Pike County crash has been identified. The accident occurred on Wednesday, July 25, 2018 around 10am, when a pedestrian, identified as Robin Gail Porter, was walking beside the roadway on US 119. A vehicle, operated by Cassie Tomblin of Logan County, West Virginia, left the roadway, striking porter, then a utility pole and embankment. Porter was pronounced dead at the scene. Tomblin and her two children were transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The investigation remains open.
