Grant Awarded to Lawrence County to Preserve Local Government Records

State Librarian and Kentucky Department for Libraries and Archives Commissioner Terry Manuel announced that Lawrence County Clerk Chris Jobe has received a grant totaling $81,756 from KDLA to preserve and manage local government records. Jobe said he pleased to receive the grant, which will be helpful in upgrading aging equipment. He added the grant will make a difference in their daily work with preserving the records. Fifteen grants have been awarded throughout the state for a total of $385,406 from the first round of funding from fiscal year 2019 Local Records Grant Program funds. The next round of grants will be awarded in December.
