On Monday, July 30, 2018, Attorney General Andy Beshear and his Cyber Crimes Unit announced a 27-year-old Jefferson County man was arrested and charged with six counts of allegedly possessing child pornography, allegedly using a minor in a sexual performance, and one count of seeking sex with a minor. Eric Clifford Sutherland was arrested on Friday, July 27, 2018 after Beshear’s cyber investigators issued several search warrants over the course of their investigation. An investigation was launched after the United State Department of Homeland Security Investigations received an initial complaint via its national reporting system earlier in July from a family in Southern Indiana. The complaint alleged the victim was solicited for sexual images by a Louisville adult. Sutherland was lodged in Louisville Metro Corrections on a $75,000 bond.
