On Monday, July 30, 2018, Laurel County Sheriff’s Deputy Shannon Jones responded to a domestic violence complaint on KY 2392. Deputy Jones arrived on the scene around 2:20am where a female victim stated a male subject, identified as 24-year-old Cody Dickerson, allegedly choked her and had a knife on him. The victim said Dickerson allegedly chased her with a knife toward Springcut Road. Deputy Jones interviewed Dickerson, who admitted to chasing her but only wanted to catch her to apologize. Dickerson was charged with assault and lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
