Floyd County Schools Superintendent Danny Adkins has announced that 43 information technology students who have become Certified Internet Webmaster coders. The 43 students are from Prestonsburg High School and received their certifications through the Floyd County Area Technology Center. The CIW certification is a national, lifetime certification. Dr. Jeff Shannon, IT instructor, said having these talented, new coders in our community brings a much needed facet to our area. The students are: Aaron Shepherd, Adam Philpot, Alex Scott, Austin Ford, Austin Smith, Blake Tarver, Cameron Collins, Cameron Smith, Chandler Newsome, Cory Goble, Ethan Spears, Gregory Powell, Jacob Pitts, James Dunbar, James Ousley, Jason Ratliff, Jonathan Sizemore, Kane Scarberry, Kendall Fletcher, Kinsley Hall, Kristopher Howard, Logan Goble, Malcolm Lombardi, Mark Fraley, Mark Puckett, Mark Vance, Michael Shepherd, Patrick Tuttle, Peyton Wright, Samuel Carroll, Tanner Gibson, William Jervis, William Reid, Austin Blankenship, Brhett Moore, Zachary Flannery, Jeffery Gayheart, Bradley Goble, Jonathan Dotson, Jacob Gardner, Michael Ratliff, Zack Link, and Braxton Lewis.
