Based on complaints received from citizens of reckless drivers, nuisance ATV’s, impaired driving, and some high traffic and high theft areas, the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office will be conducting extra patrols and traffic safety checkpoints throughout the month of August. Road checks will be conducted more frequently in an attempt to clear roads of impaired drivers. Seat belt and car seat usage will also be aggressively enforce through patrol and road checks. Patrols will be conducted from 12 noon to 6am seven days a week throughout the enforcement period.
