The evening of Friday, July 27, 2018, Harlan County Sheriff’s Deputies conducted a traffic stop while on patrol in the Cawood area. Deputies arrested a driver, 30-year-old Jason Gilbert, of Baxter, on charges of trafficking in controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia, along with driving on suspended license. He passenger, 19-year-old Carryington Asher, was charged with trafficking, possession of drug paraphernalia, and no insurance. An additional passenger, 23-year-old Chasity Phillips, was served an indictment for trafficking in controlled substance. All three were lodged in the Harlan County Detention Center.
