The Big Sandy Head Start Grantee Office has recognized Floyd County Schools’ Head State Program for multiple honors. Four of the Top 10 Classrooms in the region are in the Floyd County School District. Of the 65 regional classrooms, Jessica Kiser and Amanda Patrick from Allen Elementary for, April Borowski and Brittany Tackett from Betsy Layne Elementary, Misty Howell and Stacy Paige from Duff-Allen Central Elementary, and Ashley Fite and Shonna Hall from May Valley Elementary rank among the top. Superintendent Danny Adkins praised the Early Childhood team, congratulating them for their hard work and dedication.
