The Laurel County Sheriff’s Office made an arrest around 9am Friday, August 3, 2018, after being dispatched to a complaint of a male subject out-of-control off Highway 1376. While en route, deputies were advised that subject had fled the scene on foot. A clothing description and possible identity of the male subject was given to deputies. In addition, the owner of a residence off Dollie Miller Road near the complaint of the out-of-control subject observed the suspect, identified as 31-year-old Brandon Collier, allegedly attempting to enter a vacant residence not belonging to the suspect. When deputies arrived at the location, they located the suspect hiding in a closet. Collier was charged with burglary, public intoxication, and resisting arrest. He was lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
