Boyd County Man Indicted on Sodomy and Sexual Abuse Charges

Attorney General Andy Beshear and his Office of Special prosecutions announced on Monday, August 6, 2018 the indictment of a Boyd County man on sodomy and sexual abuse charges. Timothy Ray, Sr., 63, of Catlettsburg, was indicted August 1, 2018 by a Boyd County grand jury on one count of first-degree sodomy, and five counts of first-degree sexual abuse, for crimes that occurred between 1994 and 2015. Beshear’s office said Ray’s indictment superseded a 2015 indictment and included additional charges involving minor children. Ray could serve a 65 year sentence if convicted. Ray is currently being held in the Boyd County Detention Center.
