Registration for the mentor-youth dove hunts offered by the Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife Resources is now open through August 17, 2018. Registration is available online at fw.ky.gov. Wes Little, migratory bird biologist for Kentucky Fish and Wildlife, said mentors must go online to complete the registration and can visit the website on August 24, 2018 to see if their name was drawn for the mentor hunt. Opening day for mentor-youth dove hunts is September 1, 2018. The hunts are open to adults accompanied by youth 15 and younger. Each mentor may take up to two youth.
