On Tuesday, August 7, 2018, around 12:46pm the Prestonsburg 911 center received a call stating that a single motorcycle accident had occurred on Stephens Branch road. Danny Stephens, 65, was operating his 2005 Honda Goldwing when he lost control of his motorcycle and went into a ditch. He was transported to Highlands Regional Medical Center where he was pronounced deceased. The accident is under investigation by the Prestonsburg Police Department.
