Kentucky State Police Investigation Shooting Death in Perry County

A Perry County man was discovered shot to death in his vehicle the afternoon of Wednesday, August 8, 2018. Kentucky State Police Post 13 received a call from Perry County 911 at 2:25pm, advising that a man had been located in a truck on Elm Shoal Branch Road in the Combs community and that he appeared to have gunshot wounds. KSP Troopers responded to the scene with Perry County Sheriff’s Deputies and Perry County Ambulance Service. At the scene, investigators found a male subject unresponsive inside a pickup truck that was parked on the shoulder of the roadway. The man had sustained apparent gunshot wounds, and pronounced deceased at the scene by Perry County Deputy Coroner John Collett. The victim was identified as 38 year old Terry Stidham of Busy, KY. No other individuals were located at the scene. An autopsy is scheduled to be performed at the State Medical Examiner’s Office in Frankfort.
