A Columbia, KY man has been convicted of conspiracy to commit mail fraud. A Federal jury in Frankfort convicted 62-year-old Ronnie Rodgers of conspiracy to commit mail fraud, wire fraud and securities fraud, arising from the sale of interests in oil and gas exploration ventures in South Central Kentucky between 2007 and 2017. Rodgers and his brother, Ricky Rodgers, sold interests in oil and gas programs utilizing false and misleading representations on expected production and profits, totaling around $10 million. He is scheduled for sentencing on December 5, 2018 and faces a maximum of five years in prison.
