The Laurel County Sheriff’s Office conducted a traffic stop after 7pm on Tuesday, August 14, 2018 on Pepperhill Drive. The stop was conducted on a white Pontiac Grand Prix with expired license plates. During the stop, deputies noted the driver had slurred speech and was uneasy on her feet. An investigation was conducted and the driver was determined to be under the influence. A passenger in the vehicle was also determined to be under the influence. During the arrest, the driver, identified as 41-year-old Emily Taylor Sizemore of London was found to be in possession of meth, suboxone, xanax, additional pills, and marijuana. She was charged with DUI, possession of controlled substance and traffic violations. The passenger, Nora Bowman, 39, was charged with public intoxication. Both were lodge din the Laurel County Detention Center.
