The Floyd County Homeless Shelter will hold a community meeting on Monday, August 20, 2018, at 6pm in the Floyd County Rescue Center in Prestonsburg. The meeting is to update citizens in the county on the status of the shelter, located in Martin, and to describe existing needs, including financial support. The shelter is expected to open approximately October 1, 2018 if preparations remain on schedule.
