The Laurel County Sheriff’s Office made an arrest on Saturday, August 18, 2018 around 6:07am. The arrest occurred off Keavy Road after deputies were dispatched to a domestic complaint there. Upon arrival at the scene, deputies contacted a female subject who advised there had been an argument which allegedly turned in to a physical altercation where the suspect threw her on the ground and punched her in the back of the head. Deputies noted visible injuries. They arrested 28-year-old Stanley Wagers and charged him with assault. He was lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
