On Saturday, August 18, 2018, Prestonsburg Police Officers responded to a complaint in the area of South Lake Drive of a male subject having possibly committed thefts near the Honda shop. He was said to be pushing a wooden wheel barrel that was allegedly taken from a local business. Upon arrival, the suspect was identified as Rogie Case of Martin, who fled on foot toward the river bank. Following a lengthy foot chase, Case was apprehended near Archer Park. The stolen property was recovered and returned to local businesses. Case was charged with theft and fleeing police and lodged in the Floyd County Jail.
