Mexican Nationals in Lexington Sentenced for Conspiracy to Distribute Cocaine

Three Mexican nationals illegally residing in Lexington, KY were sentenced on Friday, August 24 for their roles in a conspiracy to distribute five kilograms or more of cocaine. A federal jury found Imanol Penaloza, 37, and Efrain Villanueva, 24, guilty in May 2018. A third defendant, Sergio Piedra, 25, entered a guilty plea to the same charged. Penaloza was sentenced to 340 months, while Villanueva was sentenced to 200 months. Piedra was previously sentenced to 125 months.
