On Saturday, September 1, 2018, Officer Jonathan Holbrooks with the Martin Police department made a traffic stop at the Martin Speedway. During the stop, Officer Holbrooks conducted a search of the vehicle, resulted in the discovery of empty small plastic bags, small plastic bags containing a white crystal like substance believed to be methamphetamine, and two loaded syringes with a red liquid inside believed to be blood. The subject, 34-year-old James Castle of Printer, was arrested and charged with possession of controlled substance and paraphernalia. He was lodged in the Floyd County Jail.
